This affectionate 5-month-old domestic shorthair is quick to make friends with children and adults, gets along well with other cats and enjoys playing with feather toys. He is neutered and current on vaccines, and he is trained to use a litter box. Animal Rescue of Tracy, a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue organization, is collecting donations through this weekend for an upcoming yard sale fundraiser. Donations can be delivered to VCA Old River Animal Hospital, 520 W. 11th St., before 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, or be dropped off during Animal Rescue’s weekly pet adoption fairs at the West Valley Mall, from noon to 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The yard sale is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at Old River and will also include face painting, raffles and pony rides; look for details in the online Datebook at www.tracypress.com or the Sept. 21 Datebook wrap. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.
