Hal, an 8-year-old purebred Dachshund, likes walks, car rides, laps and chew toys. According to volunteers from Animal Rescue of Tracy, Hal would likely thrive as the only dog in a quiet home, as he appreciates a nap in his crate after periods of activity. He is neutered and current on vaccines. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer pet rescue group that has adoption fairs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall. The group welcomes volunteers willing to provide foster homes for dogs or cats. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.
