It was the first of four meets for the youth league, with the championship meet slated for Oct. 27, a Saturday.
Runners in the third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade division ran a three-quarter-mile course. The fastest runner for St. Bernard’s was Matthew Arnaudo, with a second-place time of 5 minutes, 42 seconds in the boys race. Madeleine Krause placed eighth in the girls division (6:14). John Stone logged a personal best in the boys race (7:55)
St. Bernard’s runners in the sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade divisions included Olivia Stone, who finished 17th in the girls race with a time of 12:15 on the 1½-mile course. Nathan Arnaudo was 19th in the boys division (11:28).
