Kimball senior forward Natalie Lambert scored four goals in her return two weeks after being carried off the field with an injury in a 6-1 win against Weston Ranch on Monday, April 30 in Stockton.

Kimball (12-6-3 overall, 4-5-3 Valley Oak League) had a 4-1 lead at the half with three goals from Lambert. Her first goal came on an assist from Taylah Nusser in the eighth minute, followed by a second in the 22nd minute on a pass from Nikki Alexander, who brought the ball up the field and found Lambert in position to make the shot. Lambert’s third goal was an unassisted breakaway in the 35th minute.

Alexander scored in the 38th minute for Kimball after Abigail Dyer made a cross shot, deflected by Cougar goalie, and Alexander was there to knock it in. Weston Ranch got on the board in the 32nd minute on a penalty kick.

Kimball kept nearly constant pressure on the Cougars (1-15-2, 1-10-1), scoring two more goals in the second half — one in the 65th minute on Elianna Mendoza’s breakaway up the left side, and again in the 75th minute on a pass from Dyer to Lambert, who scored.

Weston Ranch’s goalie made 12 saves while Kimball goalkeeper Tayler Lennier had two saves.

The Jaguars are in fifth place in the VOL, and play their last league game on Wednesday, May 2, against Lathrop in Don Nicholson Stadium at Kimball High.
