Tracy 2, Lincoln 1

Tracy High’s soccer team took its first win in the San Joaquin Athletic Association, 2-1 over Lincoln in Stockton on Thursday.

Tracy took the lead in the first half when one of Lincoln’s defenders passed the ball to the Trojan goalkeeper, only to have the ball roll past and into the goal. The Bulldogs made it a 2-0 game in the 20th minute of the second half when Paul Mayes scored on a pass from Matt Murman. Lincoln scored one at the end of the second half.

The win puts Tracy at 1-1-1 in league play, 2-5-2 overall.

Tracy’s junior varsity team took a loss on Thursday, 4-1, with Austin Martinez scoring Tracy’s only goal on a penalty kick.
