West High’s basketball program hosted a week-long camp, June 4 to 8, in the Steve Thornton Gymnasium. West varsity coach Derek Sprecksel and other coaches and players hold the camp at the start of summer each year to teach young players the fundamentals of the game, and give prospective high school players a head start on training for the next season.
