Runner heads to CIF state meet

Blair Hurlock of Tracy qualified to run in the state track and field competition this weekend on the strength of a third-place finish in the 3,200-meter run at the North Coast Section Meet of Champions.

Hurlock, a junior at De La Salle High in Concord, ran the 3,200 in 9 minutes, 17 seconds on Saturday, May 25, at University of California, Berkeley.

The California Interscholastic Federation state championship meet takes place Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, in Clovis.
