Services will be private for the Rev. Roy G. Capps, 70, who died Jan. 17 when he fell at his Tracy home.

The Rev. Capps, a Tracy native, was born Dec. 7, 1943, and graduated from Tracy High School in 1962. He attended San Joaquin Delta College and served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam in 1965-66.

An ordained minister, he preached throughout his adult life. He also owned several local properties, including the historical church building at 340 Ninth St., now Trinity Abundant Life Church.

Survivors include a brother, Everett Capps, and his partner, Barbara, of Tracy; and two sisters, Joann Mallory, and her husband, Don, and Mary Trevino, all of Manteca. Also surviving are four nephews and two nieces, all born and raised in Tracy, and their children and grandchildren.

Burial will be in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., is handling arrangements.
