A rollover crash sent two victims to the hospital and snarled traffic on Corral Hollow Road Friday, August 10.

Emergency crews responded to the scene just before 2 p.m. where a Chevrolet Tahoe and Chrysler PT crashed in the intersection of Corral Hollow and West Larch roads.

The impact caused the Tahoe to roll onto its roof and sent the PT Cruiser sliding into the northbound lanes.

Tracy Fire crews worked to stop fuel leaking from the overturned Tahoe.

Traffic was diverted off Corral Hollow Road and to Larch Road.

Two victims were taken with minor injuries to Sutter Tracy Hospital.

California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, and as of 4 p.m. Friday, August 10, no further information was available.

Corral Hollow and Larch is not a four way stop. SUV's are great for large families. All that should be said is get well to the victims and everyone remember to drive safe out there!

I'm willing to bet it's because no one in this damn town knows how to properly use a 4-way stop.

@ HiddenLake37 - Wow, you just saved the Tracy Police Department a lot of work investigating this accident. I hope you have told them that you are certified in this area and given them the facts about what happened.

Can you sense my sarcasm? You have no earthly idea what happened here. It is most certainly NOT obvious. Leave the investigating to the pros.

...why in the world would folks choose to drive such a vehicle with a high CG and pretend its a sports car? These ugly behemoths roll over instinctively when involved in a collision as so often seen around town. Maybe the incident described here was caused by another ignorant, oblivious, reckless operator (aka "sport") of this full size SUV, causing needless harm and injury to others. Their ego so fragile and delicate, but made strong while in the big SUV, helping to increase their sense of self worth, value, and invincibility. It’s getting about time to increase accountability and responsibility for the operators of these vehicles via additional driver training, situational awareness, and liability for these ugly behemoths and their operators. How many more incidents like this need to occur before we change the rules? SUVs are obviously not intended to be race cars or look like one, right sport?

^^^^

Speaking of ignorant and oblivious...Your post is pretty much the definition of both...

It's obvious by looking at the damage to both vehicles and knowing that location that the PT Cruiser (Read: Plastic Clad Dodge Neon) pulled out from Larch Rd. without the right of way and caused the Tahoe to collide with it. I hope they sue for damages...

I love my suv. One of the primary reasons is increased safety for myself and my family. I'm not going drive a tupperware plasticmobile and sacrifice my safety for that of someone else, sorry. (btw, call me a hypocrite but I would bend this rule if someone wants to give me their Ferrari for a weekend)

Seems ya gotta problem with SUVs.

Parhaps we'd all be better of if we all drove uni-gray Smart Cars but I doubt it.

Parhaps th incident described here was caused by an operator like yerself who is irrationally infuriated about th free choice decisions of others who choose ta drive a different vehicle because they have th right ta an spend thair money th way they see fit.

An it might surprise ya but SUVs are not th only vehicles that are driven by oblivious, reckless operators. Some drive trucks, tractors, motorcycles an even th not so smart Smart cars.

some of those ignorant, oblivious, reckless operators even drive Mini-Vans. I'll take my SUV anyday!
