Last week’s Remember When mystery photo, top right, showed a meeting of the Tracy District Recreation Commission in July 1987. Seated at left is Recreation Director Joe Wilson. Commissioners, left to right, are Al Emhoff Jr., Gretchen Talley and Pam Dixon.

The recreation commission was formed in 1951 through an agreement among the city of Tracy, Tracy High and Tracy Elementary school districts and San Joaquin County. It operated a variety of recreation programs, including youth baseball, activities for senior citizens, the Tracy Plunge and Joe Wilson Pool, until the City of Tracy took over the recreation programs in 1989.

Today’s Remember When mystery photo, bottom right, shows a Tracy couple checking out the front end of a vintage car in July 1993. Who are they, and what kind of car is in the photo?
