The $100,000 in Bank of America stock was donated to the city of Tracy by the George and Marguerite Wadsworth Estate to finance construction of a library building in Lincoln Park. The gift covered a majority of the cost of constructing the library, originally named Wadsworth Memorial Library, in 1961.
In 1987, after the library was enlarged and remodeled, the name was changed to Tracy Public Library. The main meeting room was named the Wadsworth Room.
Souza was a law partner with George Wadsworth, longtime city attorney, and Selna was office manager of the law firm. Later in 1960, Monagan was elected to the California Assembly.
