Last week’s Remember When mystery photo, above left, showed John and Bea Kenley in 1966 getting ready to cut the cake that was part of their 25th wedding anniversary celebration.

John Kenley operated a Texaco service station at the northwest corner of 11th and East streets. Bea Kenley was a waitress at the Anderson Drug Store’s lunch counter.

Identifying the anniversary couple were Evelie Grebil, Gussie Owen, Mary Hernandez and Jan Harmon Graham of Tumwater, Wash. Bea Kenley is alive and well and still living in Tracy at the age of 95, she reported. Her husband, John, died in March 2013.

Today’s mystery photo, above right, shows a student receiving a handshake in a Berkeley awards ceremony in August 1994. What were the names of the student, the presenter and the award?
