A week ago someone stole an American flag I had placed on my mailbox. I ran outside, saw two white, male teenagers walking away with the flag. They were wearing hooded sweatshirts with the hoods pulled over their heads. The air temperature that day was just under 110F. I laughed so hard it hurt. I know the 'thug look' is popular with kids these days but they have no idea of how stupid they look to other people.

I was deeply depressed after reading the lyrics to 'We be steady Mobbin'. The so-called music is poison to today's young black males.

I remember a day when we watched stereotypes of "Moppin Girls" on TV like Laverne and Shirley and like Flo and back then we got a chuckle when Flo backtalked her manager and said, "Mel, kiss my grits!".

I guess we were naive to believe it back then. Maybe times have changed?

I thought 'Mobbin Girls' was pronounced moe-bin like Bo Diddly only Moe Diddly. But no. Research tells me it's pronounced maw-bin. So it's 'Mawbin Girls'. Now I know if someone spray paints Mobbin Girls on my mailbox I can narrow down the search. I should get a job as a police detective.
