Staff members at the school, 1001 Cambridge Place, around 1:30 p.m. allegedly witnessed the mother grab her daughter by the arm and pull the 5-year-old across the parking lot to her vehicle.
Officers arrested the mother when they conducted a welfare check at her home about 30 minutes after her alleged actions were reported.
She is being charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and felony child endangerment, according to the San Joaquin County Jail website. Her bail has been set at $160,000, and she is scheduled to appear in the Manteca branch of San Joaquin County Superior Court on Friday, Nov. 16, at 1:30 p.m.
Tracy police received 167 calls for service Wednesday, Nov. 14. The following is a sample of those calls.
12:57 p.m.: Two people described as being homeless were asked to stop loitering outside of the Jui-Jitsu Academy at 344 W. Grant Line Road. It’s an ongoing issue, the caller said, because they have been asked to leave before but keep coming back.
1:53 p.m.: A vehicle on the 1500 block of Hurley Court was reportedly burgled. The owner reported finding a glove on the driver’s seat but also told police that the doors were left unlocked.
5:01 p.m.: A resident on the 1400 block of Parker Avenue returned home to find their house ransacked and burglarized. There was no visible point of entry, and the front door was locked.
10:11 p.m.: Police arrested a 37-year-old man during a traffic stop in the area of Tracy Boulevard and Bacchetti Road for outstanding warrants in Merced County. He was taken to county jail where he was being held on no bail.

Yep it is a good thang or none of us would be able ta post. Hey, since some people are toyin around with th idea of a smokers license, somewhare back east, or a license ta sleep in public places, ya know like th homeless an all, in th great city of Nevada City California, I wonder how long it's gonna be afore ya got ta have a license ta write in these comment sections.
Some may claim they have a literary license but in many cases perhaps those licenses should be revoked. A common sense test fer what ever, yep if that was required a whole lot of thangs would change an I'm a thankin not fer th good. Although it does seem ta be headin that way with more an more big government comin our way.
