Tracy police received 176 calls for service Wednesday, June 13. The following is a sample of those calls.
7:50 a.m.: A caller reported his car and other vehicles on the 2200 block of Summergate Drive were broken into overnight.
9:47 a.m.: A house was reportedly burglarized on the 100 block of West Clover Road.
11:20 a.m.: Graffiti was reported at several parks around the city, including the Tracy Sports Complex dugout at 955 Crossroads Drive; Glover Park at 584 Pescadero Ave.; Ceciliani Park at 1600 Cypress Drive; Lincoln Park at 170 E. Eaton Ave.; and Jack Fisher Park at 561 Tennis Lane.
3:26 p.m.: A crow was found stuck in a tree on the 400 block of East 10th Street. Police called for assistance from the fire department because the crow was 30 feet up in the tree. Animal control impounded the bird.

After an exhaustive investigation by Tracy PD, utilizing the SWAT team, 7 patrol cars and 30 police officers, it was determined that the crow flew, under its own power, into the tree.
After weighing all their options, taking 7 coffee breaks and spending 3 hours discussing the situation, the crow got bored and flew away...
