Two solicitors were in a verbal argument in front of Walmart, 3010 W. Grant Line Road, at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday, May 29. Each person accused the other of stealing money from their collection pot, but the two were from the same organization. Police resolved the argument but returned an hour later for a second complaint of loud arguing by customers at the store. The two solicitors said they were goofing off, and police cleared the scene. The alleged organization wasn’t named in the report.

Tracy police received 187 calls for service Tuesday, May 29. The following is a sample of those calls.

12:48 a.m.: Police issued a warning to a man and woman who were rummaging in trash and recycling cans on the 100 block of Mt. Eden Court

6:52 a.m.: Graffiti was reported at a vacant building on the 100 block of East Grant Line Road.

10:45 a.m.: A Tracy High student was at Kaiser hospital in Manteca with a broken nose. The minor wouldn’t name an attacker but said a fight started earlier that morning over an iPod. Tracy High officials reportedly documented the fight and suspended both students.

12:05 p.m.: A juvenile was seen running out of a residence on the 1500 block of Peony Drive carrying a pink backpack as the home’s alarm was sounding. The alleged burglar was wearing a grey sweatshirt with black shorts and was seen running toward Corral Hollow Road. A window in the back of the residence was smashed, but no entry was made. Police couldn’t locate the victim and are investigating the incident.

1:26 p.m.: A male teenager was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Save Mart, 2005 N. Tracy Blvd.

3:23 p.m.: A father and son were arguing because the son wanted to smoke his medical marijuana inside the father’s residence. The son has a medical marijuana card and doesn’t pay rent at the residence, where the father has allowed him to stay temporarily. A block number and street name were not provided in the report.

3:27 p.m.: Diamond jewelry and an undisclosed amount of cash were reported stolen from a residence on the 100 block of Lourence Drive.

3:39 p.m.: A warning was issued to a couple for entering a vacant home on the 1600 block of Meadow Lark Lane and using the shower. The couple said they are relatives of the former tenants of the residence.

4:30 p.m.: Police are investigating the theft of $500 at the Sutter Tracy Community Hospital gift shop. A volunteer is suspected of stealing the money from a visitor’s purse. The alleged act was reportedly caught on video surveillance.

6:40 p.m.: Several children flagged down an officer to report that one of them was bitten by a dog being walked in the area of Lowell Avenue and Orchard Parkway. A report was filed.

LMAO! I read these and other comments and can't help think "GREAT!". I left your bleeding heart, liboturd state years ago and my only regret was not doing it sooner. Calif....the state where everyone has their hand out and the government encourages it!!! Wanna know why Ca has such a budget problem? Just open your eyes you idiots! When you open the borders, declare your state a "sanctuary" state, pay massive welfare, and don't punish criminals. When the second amendment has been hamstrung so bad that only the criminals have guns (haha yea, which law do you think THEY are going to obey?) you deserve what you get! I now live in a "must issue" state and our crime rate is miniscule compared to Ca. Once again, LMAO!

I was yelled at one day because I stopped 3 people from "donating" to these people. I said it would be better just to throw their money in the garbage. The collectors didn't like that at all, I was called everything but a white woman.

NO taxes on all the unclaimed income. $$$$$$ The BOE should do something, as well as citizens NOT giving cash.

I agree that these people should not be in front of Walmart, and if you ask the Management at Walmart, they total agree. These people have been a problem forever, and the police are called on them on a regular basis. That said, they have a right to be there and Walmart can't do a thing about it. There are laws state by state, but when you live in a Liberal state, this is what you get! You can thank the California Supreme Court for this on going problem! Don't blame Walmart for something they can't control, blame the people that give money to these Hoodlums that are outside the door, as well as the people that give money to same people that have been standing on the corner for years when you Exit Costco or Walmart. If they don't get money, they don't show up!

those solicitors, they're a nuisance....walmart employees can't do anything - i witnessed that the managers were talking to these people to vacate the premises, but the solicitors would not move.....

......if all the shoppers will not give to these people (just give to your churches), they'll disappear....the money they get, goes to their individual pockets.....

I don't understand why Walmart allows solicitors in front of their store. Isn't there a law against solicitaton? I was at Walmart yesterday morning and incountered solicitors(probably the same people) and they were not so nice when I declined to contribute. As a shopper, why should I be subjective to that. No more shopping at Walmart if they're outside the store.

I agree with you mfind. Going there reminds me of the old days when we use to have to deal with the Hare Krishna at the airport.
