A woman said an SUV tried to run her off the road while it was tailgating her on Interstate 580 in Livermore at 12:53 p.m. She told Tracy police she stopped at a Quik Stop and saw the SUV. She requested a citizen’s arrest. Police issued the SUV driver a warning and notified the highway patrol.

klv,

"...if he was really schizo and you were really Charles Manson, you both would have probably hit-it-off."

Great effort at trying to connect dots. An 'F' for achievement.

"Not running around with un-permitted loaded firearms into everyone who looks "unfamiliar" or wearing a "hoodie."

"That November, the Zimmermans completed firearms training at a local lodge and received concealed-weapons gun permits. In early December, another source close to them told Reuters, the couple bought a pair of guns. George picked a Kel-Tec PF-9 9mm handgun, a popular, lightweight weapon."

"Zimmerman is lucky to be having this case held in Florida; where one of the last hold-out states from the Civil War has the cops thinking that a deliberate stalking case..."

You are woefully ill-informed and need to wait for actual facts to be disclosed.

"after the plaintiff defends himself with skittles and an Arizona ice tea..."

because thankfully, nobody ever dies from a beating.

FYI. your plaintiff expired. The 'State' is now the plaintiff.

Dale;

*How is The State going to represent the plaintiff, when the "plaintiff expired?" I'm stipulating that, and again these are still allegations, someone initiated contact, even after Zimmerman had contacted local PD and their response was "we don't need you to do that."

*If the voice yelling for help on a cell release is indeed Zimmermans' then apparently he pursued Martin and met with something he didn't expect.

As Tinfoil pointed out, "he thought that day would be like any other," I suppose doesn't apply to Martin -when you have a self proclaimed community watch person dogging you - a perfect stranger by all accounts. (How would you react being stalked, let's say by an unfamiliar black man?)

How is this all lumped into 'The Stand Your Ground'?

*My suspicions are this story will be spun from Zimmerman's account of things in order to justify his actions. And face a lesser charge of 2nd Degree dropped to manslaughter -even self defense.

Heck in these days of Jurisprudence he might walk completely..?

What crime did Martin actually commit to justify Zimmerman's initial concerns and why did he then pursue -instead of waiting for local PD? He had already given a Martin's descript?

" ...someone initiated contact"

Whom do you say initiated physical contact and why did that person do it ?

"(How would you react being stalked, let's say by an unfamiliar black man?)"

Already happened... a theft, then a fight, then a car jacking. One got away, one got 6 months.

"How is this all lumped into 'The Stand Your Ground'? "

Beats me... your question, nothing I've stated.

"Heck in these days of Jurisprudence he might walk completely..?"

Even if found not guilty by a jury of his peers ? or should we dispense with the trial and go straight to punishments. More cost effective.

Why is reasoned thinking disdained or emotions ?

Your attitude brings to mind the Zimmerman case. He thought that day would be like every other day. Relatively uneventfull. So many people today have been rendered gullible to the point they're incapable of using good judgement to protect themselves against dirtbags. Born in 1946 I was never in my wildest dreams that stupid. This world, this environment we exist within does not consist of Bambi in the forest. Nor of hippies flashing the peace symbol. Our environmment can become ugly to the max within mere seconds when you least suspect it. Whenever I go out into the public realm I'm thinking like a hardened police officer with decades of experience under his belt. My kind will survive the odds. Your kind will be eaten.

Zimmerman is lucky to be having this case held in Florida; where one of the last hold-out states from the Civil War has the cops thinking that a deliberate stalking case vs. home invasion can be mixed up with deadly retaliation after the plaintiff defends himself with skittles and an Arizona ice tea (even when 911 dispatchers state "we don't need you to do that" (Zimmerman) proclaims himself as the (victim) during community neighborhood-watch (Scare?) is confused into "Stand Your Ground Law" as strictly defining itself only in home invasion or burglaries - "the perception of deadly force is returned with deadly force." -Not running around with un-permitted loaded firearms into everyone who looks "unfamiliar" or wearing a "hoodie."

These confrontations occure often today and are not humorous. They're sort of a little secret it would seem because their true impact is never spoken of. I got hit on yesterday in the parking lot at a supermarket by a sleezebag bum. He early twenties/me 66 years old. I was loading groceries into my vehical. A voice behind me called out "Hey,gimme some money, man". I faced him, told him in my best Charles Manson I'll kill you voice "No". The young punk's eyes and my eyes met, locked. He turned tail, walked away fast. You never know with these confrontations. Is he a schizophrenic? Is he hearing voices? Will moments from now he and I be on the parking lot asphalt locked in a life or death struggle? I was thinking if this goes ballistic, snap his neck like a pretzal. Get it over with quick because at my age I won't last long in a fight. Like I say these beggar confrontations happen by the thousands every day in America and no-one EVER really talks about how deadly serious they are.
