A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene for allegedly becoming disorderly. He was detained by citizen’s arrest until police arrived. The log notes that a family member began to punch holes in the walls of the home, but its unclear of he, or the caller, was arrested.

Ok lets start with the guy pulling out his penis at taco bell...yes it is disgusting and classless on many different fronts. But it is just too funny that she gave a description of him and his brown curly hair. I am confused if the brown curly hair was on his head or on his penis? haha
Also...I love it how a caller counted how many marijuana smokers there were in a circle. Was it just one joint for all those heads or did they have a few going around in a circle? cuz one joint for ten heads isn't going to get it done kids!
And the fact that there was a timer on the dairy man who got his 20 cows off the street with in 30 minutes has got to be a new Tracy record for rounding up more than 15 cows on a city street.
"It works for me". Marijuana should be a non-legal issue. Only a medical issue, due to it's non-lethal stance in society.
Smartest thing we could do is to legalize it...let the potheads in jail out with community service hours...and earn some taxes on it.
In the meantime...we need to keep the growhouses out of town...even when it's legal, large scale ag business just doesn't belong in town...pot, tomatos, peaches...whatever...that's agriculture and you need space. You just shouldn't be farming for profit in your basement.
And yes, the way the state lines out the medical pot thing...it can be large scale. My understanding is 99 plants in flower at any time. That is a LARGE scale operation! (and ps...you don't need 99 plants for a personal medical issue!)
SB 420 established guidelines for appropriate personal use. State law carves out "protection" for patients and caregivers who cultivate as many as six mature or twelve immature plants and possess as much as eight ounces of dried marijuana. While localities can establish higher personal use amounts, they may not go lower than the guidelines in SB 420.
Nope, don't use it, never have. But it should be my right. I have been through cancer twice. If I was offered it back then I probably would have used it as much pain as I was in and the nausea that wouldn't stop.
Personally, for one's own personal use...no biggy...nobody is going to break in and steal 6-12 plants...not worth it. But when a person has a large quantity...well it becomes a crime. I'm going to look into SB 420 a bit more (love the irony of the number...or was it irony?)...because I actually could benefit from those numbers (well my neighborhood could).
Like I say...legalization is the way to make this all a non-issue and let the PD go get the real bad guys instead of the stoners. I did misread rock-on's post...busy day! :-)
glad to hear you made it through those 2 bouts with cancer...hope you are free and clear for many years to come!
Look up the article in the Tracy Press called "Medical marijuana grower robbed at gunpoint"
You said "Thank Goodness the City is finally putting an end to legal cultivation"
All cultivation in California is ILLEGAL by Federal standards. LEGAL Cultivation under California Laws is covered in SB 420 and allows for up to 12 plants for personal medical use.
LEGAL operations (for personal use, no more than 12 plants) Do not require tapping into electricity illegally, and I have yet to hear of someone invading a home to steal 12 plants.
The references you provided were major growing operations that were ILLEGAL as they are over the limit for personal use.
Federal marijuana laws are eventually going to be turned over. State by state, the people are approving it for medical use and de criminalizing it's possession. The state of California will only ticket you for possessing an ounce or less WITHOUT a marijuana card. Thats a $150 ticket. You are ticketed more for no seat belt or texting while driving.

12 plants = not worth stealing...48...very much worth stealing.
another thing for everyone to remember...pot growers don't make revenue (they tend to not report that stuff!)...so they qualify for the PGE low income assistance...so, not only are our tax dollars funding the police to take care of the issues that arise from the grow operations, but you and I are helping to pay their power bills. there is no way for PGE to do anything about it...the way the rule is written, all they can do is reverify income...which will still be nil thanks to the lack of taxable income from a federally illegal crop.
this stuff costs us in so many ways...legalize it and we all stand to benefit...people use it anyway, and it's relatively harmless (no worse than cigarettes or liquor!)...let's just STOP giving income to the gangs...which is what illegal pot does.
And again, no one really cares if someone wants to grow a handful of plants in their back yard (undetectable), but I’m sorry…. you can’t be farming the stuff at my expense. Not ok.
