Tracy police received 601 calls for service Friday, Aug. 24, through Sunday, Aug. 26. The following is a sampling of those calls.
12:53 a.m.: Police arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of being drunk in public on the 2900 block of Lowell Avenue. The arrest occurred after a caller reported a man and refused to leave his patio.
1:34 a.m.: Police arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence near Cardoza Road and Tracy Boulevard.
1:47 a.m.: Police arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence near Sequoia Boulevard and Willow Way.
1:55 a.m.: Police arrested a 53-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence near Cardoza Road and Tracy Boulevard.
1:59 a.m.: Police arrested a 23-year-old woman on suspicion driving under the influence on the 2300 block of Parker Avenue.
3:33 a.m.: A man told police he caught someone breaking into his truck on the 1200 block of Suellen Drive.
9:48 a.m.: A caller reported someone took tools from the back of his truck on the 1400 block of West 12th Street.
10:59 a.m.: A caller requested extra patrols after some children were seen pulling down the flags at the South Elementary School, 500 W. Mount Diablo Ave. He said they ran when he approached them, but the flags were on the ground.
11:57 a.m.: A 1990 Ford Ranger was reported stolen on the 300 block of East Sixth Street.
12:24 p.m.: A caller reported electronics stolen out of both his cars on the 2500 block of Paul Poole Drive.
1:10 p.m.: A caller reported a former tenant was stealing utilities from a neighboring tenant using an extension cord on the 300 block of Sixth Street. He said he went on the roof and found the cord tied to the air conditioning unit.
2:09 p.m.: A 34-year-old man was arrested after he barricaded himself in a trauma room at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, 1420 N. Tracy Blvd. The man had checked himself in for an unreported reason and staff later found they could no longer get into his room. Police got the door open and arrested the man on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and interfering with an officer. He was placed in restraints and booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
4:20 p.m.: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a 2003 Toyota Sequoia on the 1700 block of Bristol Lane.
6:16 p.m.: A business clerk called to report someone stole $737.85 worth of sunglasses from the Sunglass Hut, 3200 Naglee Road.
10:01 p.m.: A woman told police someone stole her stroller on the 200 block of East Grant Line Road.
12:30 a.m.: A man was found was badly beaten near 23rd Street and Parker Avenue after a caller reported a group of men beating one man on the ground and another man holding a gun to the back of someone’s head. Police called for an ambulance, but the victims were not willing to cooperate with police. One person told police the fight started outside Rusty’s when a group of 10 people jumped them. Police are investigating.
3:25 a.m.: Police arrested two men, ages 21 and 26, following a traffic stop near Grant Line Road and Holly Drive. One man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and the other man had an outstanding warrant for battery.
5:45 a.m.: A store clerk asked for extra patrols after a homeless man approached her at her car and demanded extra bread at Save Mart, 1950 W. 11th St.
7:50 a.m.: A caller reported a 9-year-old boy’s dog was attacked on the 100 block of Forest Hills Drive. He said the boy was walking his dog when a pit bull attacked them.
9:30 a.m.: A caller reported he found 1,000 .22-caliber shells at a foreclosed house on the 1200 block of Michael Drive.
10:53 a.m.: A business owner called to report someone called him and said his business, Auto Wholesale, had been broken into at 1127 West 11th St.
11:19 a.m.: A clerk at Starbucks reported employees and customers caught two men trying to steal the tip jar at the 1857 W. 11th St. café. The clerk did not want to press charges, since they got the money back.
11:30 a.m.: Someone broke into her car and stole credit cards and her wallet on the 1500 block of Cole Lane.
1:43 p.m.: A woman stole a GPS out of his truck on the 1800 block of Blossomwood Lane. The caller saw her take it out of the open window, and he said she gave it back when he confronted her.
2:19 p.m.: A caller reported his 2005 Chevy Suburban was stolen near Crossroads and Tolbert drives.
3:13 p.m.: A clerk reported a man ran after he tried to use a counterfeit $20 bill at Grocery Outlet, 825 W. 11th St. The clerk said he still had the bill and store video of the man.
3:43 p.m.: A 1999 Lexus 300 was broken into at the Tracy Sports Complex, 955 Crossroads Drive.
5 p.m.: A man told police his former tenants vandalized the master bathroom on the 2500 block of Christy Street. He said they removed the floor and put it in the backyard, and damaged the sink and tub.
9:31 p.m.: Police responded to a car that crashed into a tree near MacArthur Drive and Schulte Road. The woman driving the car reportedly had major injuries, and the California Highway Patrol was handling the accident.
9:48 p.m.: Police arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence near Cardoza Road and Tracy Boulevard.
10:04 p.m.: Police arrested a 29-year-old woman on suspicion of being drunk in public at Pizza Hut, 720 W. 11th St.
10:55 p.m.: Police arrested a 41-year-old man for driving under the influence following a traffic stop near Cardoza Road and Tracy Boulevard.
6:31 a.m.: A caller reported someone stole four batteries out of a truck near Corral Hollow and Grant Line roads.
7:47 a.m.: A woman called to say someone broke into her daughter’s car and stole camping gear on the 1400 block of Whittingham Drive.
8:02 a.m.: A rooster was caught and impounded by animal control after it was found in a front yard on the 1800 block of Thicket Lane.
8:19 a.m.: An elderly man told police a dog tied to the back of a pickup lunged and caused him to fall on the 1100 block of West Beverly Place. He said the dog belonged to a gardener who works in the neighborhood on Fridays, and his truck and the dog makes it difficult to walk down the sidewalk. Police talked to the owner, who said he would shorten the dog’s leash.
9:09 a.m.: Police arrested a man of unknown age on suspicion of vehicle theft near Balboa Drive and Portola Way. The arrest occurred after a caller reported a Grurmit Pool Service pickup was stolen. Police stopped the pickup near Parker and Lowell avenues and arrested the man driving it.
9:24 a.m.: A caller reported someone spray painted offensive language across his garage on the 1500 block of Gloria Circle.
1:26 p.m.: Someone has reportedly been stealing gasoline using a gift card at Chevron, 1960 W. 11th St. A clerk at the shop said the person using the card breaks something on the pump and fills up for $1. The clerk said this has also been occurring at Stockton Chevron stations.
3:25 p.m.: A caller reported his .40 caliber Springfield handgun was missing on the 400 block of Wagtail Drive. He said it was likely stolen during a move to a new location. He said he suspected someone in the moving company.
3:55 p.m.: A Honda Civic was reported stolen from the Park and Ride, 2650 Naglee Road.
4:08 p.m.: Police arrested a 50-year-old man for indecent exposure near Grant Line Road and Tracy Boulevard. The arrest occurred after a woman told police a man in a car driving next to her was exposing himself.
6:02 p.m.: Police arrested a 46-year-old man for drug charges at the Tracy Police Department, 1000 Civic Center Drive.
6:34 p.m.: Police arrested a 36-year-old woman for contempt of court on the 100 block of West Third Street. The arrest occurred after a caller reported his two children called him to say their mother was passed out.
7:40 p.m.: Police arrested a 26-year-old woman on the 100 block of West Carlton Way. The arrest occurred after a caller reported she got a call from someone saying the woman was out of control. She was booked on unknown charges into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
10:31 p.m.: Police arrested a 37-year-old for an outstanding warrant for drug-related charges at the Tracy Police Department at 1000 Civic Center Drive.
10:43 p.m.: A woman called to report her daughter was attacked by a pit bull on the 2900 block of Misty Meadows Drive while walking her dog. She said the dog ran out and bit her.
