The attacker, who was driving a black sedan, allegedly pulled over, punched the man in his face and stole the victim’s headphones and iPad.
According to the victim, the man had a shirt wrapped around his face during the attack. He then got back in the vehicle and drove away.
The driver was described as a 5-foot-10 Indian man who looked about 19 years old and wore a multicolored, knitted hat. A police report is expected.
Tracy police received 180 calls for service Tuesday, Jan. 8. The following is a sample of those reports.
9:30 a.m.: A resident on the 2300 block of Holly Drive reported that her home was burglarized and that four vehicle tires were left inside the home. It was unclear if anything had been taken.
12:36 p.m.: Officers arrested a 33-year-old man who was wanted on at least two warrants. The warrants were discovered when the man was pulled over for a traffic stop in the area of 23rd Street and Court Drive. His vehicle was towed, and he was taken to San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
