Tracy police received 406 calls for service Friday, June 22 through Sunday, June 24. The following is a sampling of those calls.
1:28 a.m.: A 6-foot marijuana plant was found in Clyde Bland Park, 1753 Blandford Lane, near the schoolhouse picnic tables.
3:01 a.m.: A woman told police she heard her car alarm sound on the 2200 block of Sabrina Way and saw someone had stolen her iPod and GPS after breaking her passenger window.
11:53 a.m.: A house was egged on the 1800 block of Golden Leaf Lane.
1:36 p.m.: A caller said a woman hit his parked car on the 100 block of West Carlton Way. He said he heard a loud crash, went outside and saw his car was damaged and that the other car had left behind a headlight and hubcaps. He told police his wife pursued the car and found the driver on the 1800 block of Askren Court. Police stopped the driver and found she was not intoxicated, but she was cited for the crash.
5:30 p.m.: The side gate to a vacant house on the 700 block of West Mount Diablo Avenue was kicked in and a crowbar used to try and open the sliding door. Police are investigating.
6:04 p.m.: A homeowner on the 1500 block of Peony Drive told police his house was broken into while he was on vacation.
9:19 p.m.: A garage fire was reported on the 800 block of Iberis Way. Fire officials did not request assistance from the police.
4:35 a.m.: A caller reported some people in a neighbor’s yard on the 100 block of Kavanagh Avenue. He told police he saw them jump the fence and that one of them was carrying a tool box. Police checked, but found the people had gone.
5:10 a.m.: Police arrested an 18-year-old man for burglary of a vehicle on the 2900 block of West Lowell Avenue. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
10:29 a.m.: A caller reported someone might have tried to break into his house after he found screws missing from his front door handle on the 1100 block of Terry Lane. Police are investigating.
12:24 p.m.: A caller said someone went into his backyard and lit his garbage cans on fire over night on the 4500 block of Regis Drive. He told police he had been having problems with vandalism. Police are investigating.
12:52 p.m.: A caller reported someone might have broken into his house after he found a cellular phone charger plugged inside his master bedroom on the 200 block of Ridgeview Drive. He told police he also discovered food and clothing missing Wednesday, June 20. Police advised him to talk to his wife to see if the charger belongs to her.
3:15 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke into his house on the 2500 block of Lincoln Boulevard.
3:42 p.m.: A resident reported his neighbor installed a security camera in his backyard and faced it toward his yard on the 1700 block of Ash Tree Way.
6:25 p.m.: A caller reported a man tried to get into a car that wasn’t his at the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. He said the man was going car-to-car. Mall security told police the man was putting fliers on cars.
7:15 p.m.: A caller reported seeing someone in a blue Honda threw a kitten out of a moving car near Schulte Road and Tracy Boulevard. He said the kitten was hit by a car, but it appeared to be still alive. Police were unable to locate the animal.
7:40 p.m.: A caller said his neighbor hit him in the head on the 200 block of South Third Street. He said the neighbor ran home when he told him he was going to call the police. Police talked to the victim’s wife, and she said the neighbor was yelling at her children and her husband went outside to tell him to stop. She said the neighbor took a swing at her husband. Police are investigating.
10 p.m.: Loud fireworks were reported near Laurence and Morris Phelps drives. Police were unable to locate anyone.
10:12 p.m.: Police arrested a woman of unknown age after a caller reported his wife bit him while in the downtown area of Tracy. The man refused medical treatment, and the woman was arrested.
10:44 p.m.: A house was egged by a passing car on the 1800 block of Mimosa Court.
12:03 a.m.: A 32-year-old man was arrested in central Tracy on suspicion of domestic violence after he reportedly punched his wife in the face during an argument.
12:16 a.m.: A vacant house under renovation was broken into on the 1200 block of Johnson Court. A neighbor told police he heard a loud bang like a door being kicked in, and a construction worker told police he saw two men there and he told them to leave.
1:44 a.m.: A woman told police her car was stolen on the 1200 block of Tony Stuitt Court. She told police she went outside to get her purse and found her car missing. She called back a couple of minutes later to say her brother took the car and returned it.
6:31 a.m.: Police arrested a 28-year-old man on the 100 block of Hawthorne Drive for outstanding warrants. The arrest occurred after a caller reported a man banging on her door.
8:35 a.m.: Police arrested a 23-year-old man following a traffic stop near Longfellow and Russell streets. The charges against the man were not listed. He was booked into county jail.
9:18 a.m.: A caller reported his car was broken into on the 200 block of East Third Street.
9:36 a.m.: A 2008 Dodge Charger was reported stolen from the post office at 125 W. Ninth St. The postmaster requested extra police patrols and informed police that they would be installing security cameras.
11:28 a.m.: Police arrested a 36-year-old man following a disturbance at the Royal Motel, 1201 W. 11th St. He was booked into county jail.
11:57 a.m.: Copper wire was reported stolen from a utility box at the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. Police checked and found the man was an employee of the mall working on the boxes.
3:19 p.m.: Police arrested a 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman on suspicion of domestic violence in southern Tracy. The arrests occurred after a caller reported her boyfriend threw her to the ground and stomped on her chest. The man told police the woman had punched him in the nose and damaged his house door.
3:31 p.m.: A business clerk called to report a man was trying to make a purchase with a counterfeit $10 bill at Tracy Truck and Auto, 3940 N. Tracy Blvd. Police are investigating.
4:12 p.m.: A house on the 2600 block of Kinsey Way was reportedly broken into sometime over the past three weeks. Police are investigating.
5:39 p.m.: Police arrested a 63-year-old man for allegedly being drunk in public on the 1900 block of West 11th Street.
6:52 p.m.: Police issued a warning to some children who were reportedly throwing peaches at a neighbor’s dogs and house on the 1900 block of Blossomwood Lane.
8:41 p.m.: A caller reported a group of 20 teens fighting in the street near Redington Drive and Valencia Court. Police checked and found it was a mutual fight between children. Police advised the group to stay away from each other.
10:10 p.m.: A caller reported gunshots near 12th and Adam streets. Police checked and were unable to locate anyone.
