Tracy police received 491 calls for service Friday, Aug. 3, through Sunday, Aug. 5. The following is a sample of those reports
12:52 a.m.: Someone was arrested near Central Avenue and Tracy Boulevard on suspicion of being drunk in public.
2:08 a.m.: Several cars were vandalized by people throwing eggs on the 200 block of Windchime Way.
3:20 a.m.: Tires were slashed on a car on the 200 block of East Third Street.
3:48 a.m.: A woman said that she drove away after several youths who looked like gang members broke her car windows with a crowbar near the Tennis Lane and Tracy Boulevard intersection. She did not meet police at an agreed-upon location, however, and cops couldn’t find the suspects or leave a message for the woman.
11:19 a.m.: An iPhone purchased off the streets turned out not to be a real iPhone, according to a man at the Microtel Inn, 800 W. Clover Road.
12:29 p.m.: A stolen 1997 Acura Integra was found with its tires and rims missing on the 1000 block of Atherton Drive.
12:52 p.m.: A brown 1996 Honda Accord was stolen on the 1000 block of Tennis Lane.
1:40 p.m.: Graffiti was reported at Hoyt Park on Dale Odell Drive.
3:40 p.m.: A woman’s ex-husband allegedly tried to run her over with a vehicle in the parking lot of West High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave. Police determined the man likely revved the engine in an attempt to scare the woman, and didn’t try to run her over.
6:11 p.m.: People in a Ford Explorer seen littering near Patzer Park on Alden Glen Drive were issued a citation.
6:29 p.m.: Police talked to several men drinking beer on the 600 block of Palm Circle Drive after a caller alleged they had been hitting things with a baseball bat in the middle of the street.
10:07 p.m.: Illegal fireworks were set off in the neighborhood of the 1200 block of Meadow Lane.
1:40 p.m.: Two juveniles were seen spray-painting an electrical box outside Tracy Branch Library, 20 E. Eaton Ave.
1:03 p.m.: A woman on the 2600 block of Cabrillo Drive complained that her friends were trying to make her go to rehab.
3:14 p.m.: Shoppers at Tracy Outlets, 1005 Pescadero Ave., were questioned by police after a caller said it looked like people in a Ford Crown Victoria were “casing” the shopping center.
8:25 p.m.: A driver seen swerving into oncoming traffic in the neighborhood south of the Bowtie area was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and on at least one outstanding warrant.
5:49 a.m.: A five was reported near 11th Street and Lammers Road. The fire department was alerted.
7:49 a.m.: A 1998 Acura Integra was stolen from the 1000 block of Atherton Drive.
10:23 a.m.: A woman who was allegedly driving erratically was found to be sober during a traffic stop near Tracy High School, 315 E. 11th St.
10:49 a.m.: Stray dogs were seen running loose in the Smokey and Colonial lanes area.
12:07 p.m.: Police responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at 812 W. Clover Road. A caller said that an older man was hit and that a victim might be bleeding. It wasn’t clear if an arrest was made, though police took a report.
3:36 p.m.: Car burglaries were reported on the 500 block of Pombo Square Drive, 1900 block of West Kavanagh Avenue, 200 block of King Arthur Court and 1200 block of Adam Street. Stereos, GPS and other items were allegedly stolen.
5:59 p.m.: Post office officials said a customer was causing a disturbance at the post office at 125 W. Ninth St.
9:17 p.m.: Police couldn’t find a 10-year-old a caller said had a switchblade and a cigar wrapper that could be used to roll drugs near the corner of Holly Drive and Grant Line Road.
