A woman at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, June 21, told police that a man in a Dodge pickup exposed himself. The man reportedly pulled to the side of the road as she was jogging near Sycamore Parkway and Valpico Road and first asked for directions to Walmart. Police noted that a man matching his description, a white man with brown curly hair in his early 20s, did the same thing at Sycamore Parkway and Amberwood Way on Tuesday, June 19, after he asked a woman for directions to Taco Bell.

Tracy police logged 165 calls for service Thursday, June 21. The following is a sample of those reports:

12:50 a.m.: A man on a bicycle was hiding in the shadows on the 1200 block of West 11th Street and would emerge to ask people for money as they approached a nearby liquor store. Police arrived and warned the man that he could be arrested for trespassing.

5:53 a.m.: A man on the 1700 block of West 11th Street told police that a woman barked at him and tried to scratch him, and was hugging a sign as the man walked away. Police arrived a short time later but determined that the woman didn’t seem to have mental health issues.

8:13 a.m.: A person at Save Mart, 1950 W. 11th St., told police that a woman jumped on a man who was sitting on a bench and then grabbed him by the throat and yelled that she was going to kill him. She was gone when police arrived.

9:50 a.m.: Police went to Save Mart, 1950 W. 11th St. for a report of a woman who was possibly drunk and asking truck drivers for matches. Police took the 48-year-old woman into custody for possible mental health issues. She threatened to jump out of the patrol car, according to the police dispatch log, as police drove her to San Joaquin County Jail, where she was booked on a warrant for previous charges of elder abuse and making threats. She was held on $20,000 bail pending an afternoon hearing.

12:08 p.m.: Police went to the 200 block of West 20th Street for a report of a fight involving at least four young men. Two reportedly left in a car and two left on foot. Police found the two on foot at Court Drive and Lowell Avenue. One was injured but didn’t want medical attention. Police found the car on West 22nd Street. Police arrested one of the men, age 20, after they learned he was wanted on a warrant for a previous vandalism charge. He was booked and released.

2:40 p.m.: A woman told police that a man at Dr. Powers Park, 900 W. Lowell Ave., showed her a lewd cell phone photo of himself. Police found the man and took down his name, but made no arrest.

3:05 p.m.: A man at Green Oaks Mobile Home Park told police that his girlfriend took his car Thursday morning, had not returned and won’t return his phone calls. Police left a message on her voice mail advising her to return the car.

3:58 p.m.: A person on the 1600 block of Holly Drive told police that a father and son were in an argument, and the younger man had forced his father into a minivan. He reportedly drove to the Tracy Defense Depot on Chrisman Road, where the young man’s mother reportedly works. Police arrived and took the young man into custody and found his parents unharmed.

5:04 p.m.: Police went to am/pm, 3425 N. Tracy Blvd., for an accident in which one of the drivers, an underage girl who reportedly had no driver’s license or insurance, wanted to leave. Police had one of the cars towed and took a report.

6:25 p.m.: A man at Costa Court and Duncan Drive flagged down an officer to request that police not arrest him if his mother should call and make false reports of him committing crimes. The officer told the man that police can’t make that kind of promise.

8:27 p.m.: A person on the 1500 block of Promenade Circle told police that it looked like a man with baggy pants had his pants all the way down. Police checked the area but didn’t find the man.
