Tracy police received 1,189 calls for service from July 17 through Wednesday. The following is a sampling of those calls as they were documented in real time.
7:45 a.m.: A caller reported a woman in the Sutter Tracy Community Hospital emergency room for injuries from an assault at the Tracy Inn at 24 W. 11th St. The woman said she was in an altercation with another woman, who bit her on the left arm. She said she didn’t want any criminal prosecution.
10:51 a.m.: A caller reported he left his airsoft gun at Black Ops Airsoft at 2221 N. Tracy Blvd. and the company has since gone out of business. He said he didn’t get his gun back and several other people have commented on Facebook with the same problem. Police advised him it was a civil matter.
2:52 p.m.: A caller reported his girlfriend told him someone hooked a hose up to the water spigot of his house on the 100 block of Carlton Way. He said he suspected his neighbor, who has been without water for sometime. Police talked to the neighbor who denied they did it. The hose was thrown away.
3:52 p.m.: A caller reported two men inside his house on the 4400 block of English Oak Avenue. He said he came home and heard a man in his mom’s room. He said the man was talking to another man and when he said someone might have been home they left. The caller said his mother’s diamond hoop earrings and other jewelry were missing.
8:15 p.m.: Firefighters requested the police after residents became belligerent when firefighters responded to a kitchen fire on the 200 block of 12th Street. The police were cancelled two minutes later.
4:48 a.m.: A caller reported someone broke into her house on the 1500 block of Hoot Owl Court. She said she heard a window break, heard footsteps and saw a flashlight. She said she locked herself and her two children inside the upstairs bathroom. Police entered the house after finding a window screen off and a window ajar. No arrests were made, but the incident is under investigation.
7:35 a.m.: A caller reported someone slashed the tires on her husband’s work truck on the 200 block of E. Ninth Street. She said this was the third time this occurred this month.
10:57 a.m.: A caller reported someone stole a large aluminum cart from Interfaith Ministries at 311 W. Grant Line Road.
7:30 p.m.: Police arrested a 23-year-old woman for vehicle theft on the 1000 block of Civic Center Drive.
9:55 p.m.: A caller reported a house burglary on the 900 block of Weeping Willow Court. The caller said she was house sitting and came to check on the cat and found the burglary. A garage door was found open.
1:54 a.m.: A caller reported hearing his front door open and close and finding a man outside his house on the 700 block of Fundy Court. He said the man, using a fake British accent, asked to use his smart phone. Police stopped a man in the area who asked for directions to Verona Court, and the officer gave him directions.
7:13 a.m.: A caller reported a man trying to take an air compressor on the 1600 block of Wall Street. He ran north and dropped the equipment, the caller said. The man told police the equipment belonged to his uncle, but the caller said it came from a vacant house. Police are investigating.
7:26 a.m.: Someone reportedly entered a business and broke into a safe on the 1700 block of Lowell Avenue.
10:02 a.m.: A caller reported two vehicles as stolen from the Tracy Chevrolet car lot at 3400 Auto Plaza Way. The missing vehicles were a red 2014 Camaro and a white 2010 Camaro.
11:48 a.m.: A woman on the 100 block of West 22nd Street reported receiving a call from someone who stated that she won a prize and needed to send $200 via a money gram before claiming her prize.
3:25 p.m.: Someone reportedly sprayed pink spray paint on a car on the 900 block of West 12th Street.
10:57 p.m.: Police arrested a 34-year-old man for drug possession after stopping him on foot near 11th Street and Bessie Avenue.
12:31 a.m.: A caller reported that five men had been hiding outside her house on the 1400 block of Eagle Street. She said she saw them after someone rang her doorbell and she went outside to see who was there. Two were hiding in the back of a pickup and three more came out of the bushes, she said. They all left going south.
12:34 a.m.: Police are investigating a disturbance at The Great Plate, 700 N. Central Ave. An ambulance was called for someone with a head wound and someone was taken to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.
1:36 a.m.: A caller reported that a man texted her that he was coming over to shoot her on the 600 block of School Street. An officer checked the text messages and found no threats.
3:02 a.m.: A broken car window was reported on the 200 block of West Eaton Ave.
9:11 a.m.: Three men and a woman had reportedly made a homeless camp at Victory Christian Church, 1175 W. 11th St. Police spoke with a man and woman found going through the church dumpster, and they agreed to leave.
10:09 a.m.: A caller reported that someone broke into his house while his family was sleeping and stole belongings on the 2800 block of Meredith Court.
3:11 p.m.: A caller reported that a man grabbed her and touched her at the gas pumps at a business on the 500 block of Grant Line Road. She said she was pumping gas when the man complimented her on her car and walked over to her. She said the man grabbed her hand, pulled her into a hug and touched her back. She pulled away and left. The man was described as heavyset, short, and Hispanic, driving an older burgundy truck.
4:57 p.m.: A caller reported some of her jewelry as missing on the 600 block of Tennis Lane. She said the thief might have been a nurse’s aide who comes to help every now and then.
6:38 p.m.: A counterfeit $10 bill was reported at Grocery Outlet, 825 W. 11th St.
7:59 p.m.: Police arrested a 25-year-old woman for drug possession on the 800 block of West 11th Street. She was booked into county jail.
12:12 a.m.: Someone on the 800 block of Winter Lane reported fireworks around Parkside Drive. A second caller reported that it did not sound like fireworks, but more like an explosion. Police were unable to locate the source of the noise.
12:16 a.m.: A caller reported a car hitting a fence and four men running away from the car on the 1700 block of Countrywood Lane. The owner of the car called 10 minutes later and reported his car as stolen. He said he went to a party and heard a loud bang and his car was gone. An anonymous caller reported seeing three men throw their shirts under a car at an unidentified address and hearing them get into a vehicle and leave the area. The car in the accident was towed from the area.
6:28 a.m.: A caller reported that someone broke out her car window on the 200 block of Eaton Avenue, and a second caller reported the same problem with other victims.
8:17 a.m.: A man was found lying on the sidewalk near 11th Street and Alden Glen Drive. He was taken to San Joaquin General Hospital to be checked for a possible head injury after he was unable to answer questions and was found to have abrasions to the left side of his head and his left knee.
10:07 a.m.: A caller reported that a man pushing a stroller ran up to his car window and smashed it on the 100 block of West 11th Street.
10:31 a.m.: A caller reported that someone kicked in her fence and her two dogs were missing on the 700 block of Chestnut Avenue. She said the missing dogs were an adult gray-and-white pit bull and a 3-month-old black pit bull puppy.
11:12 a.m.: Someone was reportedly selling boxes of plywood that purportedly contained flat-screen TVs near North Tracy Boulevard and Grant Line Road. The seller was gone before police arrived.
11:43 a.m.: A caller reported two men cutting down a tree in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. The men were gone before police arrived. No damage was reported.
4:19 p.m.: A caller reported that a man hit him in the face because of a parking dispute near Costco, 3250 W. Grant Line Road. The caller said he would wait inside Costco with the manager. The alleged attacker was seen walking up to the caller and trying to apologize. The caller refused medical attention, and his attacker reportedly gave him $200 for breaking his glasses.
7:04 p.m.: A home burglary was reported on the 1100 block of Joranollo Drive. The caller said his checks, cash and gun safe were missing.
1:09 a.m.: Two vehicles on the 3700 block of Tracy Boulevard were broken into, according to a caller.
6:54 a.m.: A caller reported a smell of chlorine inside Taylor Farms Pacific, 100 W. Valpico Road. He said it was difficult to breathe, but he wanted to remain anonymous so he didn’t get in trouble with his supervisor.
11:34 a.m.: A fraudulent $10 bill was reported at Menchies, 1888 W. 11th St.
1:00 p.m.: A caller reported a customer calling in threats to Metro PCS, 2 W. 11th St. He said the caller threatened to beat up the employees and break windows. He was upset about a broken phone. Police are investigating.
6:36 p.m.: A man called to say his girlfriend punched him in the face on the 2800 block of West Grant Line Road. He hung up before the police could get additional information and then told police he had called to teach his girlfriend a lesson. He said he was fine and decided he didn’t need the police.
8:48 p.m.: Vehicle windows were reportedly broken at Plasencia Fields, 2200 Krohn Road.
9:17 p.m.: A caller reported a woman being pushed out of a moving car near Corral Hollow Road and 11th Street. The woman was seen walking east. A second caller saw the woman near the sports complex. Police called for an ambulance because of a bump on the woman’s head. Officers are investigating.
12:44 a.m.: A caller reported that someone vandalized her front yard on the 700 block of Chestnut Avenue.
12:48 a.m.: Police were on the lookout for a Honda reported as stolen in San Jose that had been pursued east on Interstate 580 by Livermore Police Department before Livermore officers ended their pursuit.
1:43 a.m.: A caller reported that a man threatened him and his girlfriend with a knife and a hatchet on the 100 block of Finale Way. He said he and his girlfriend were talking outside when the man came out of a house and told him to leave the area. Police are investigating.
9:48 a.m.: A caller reported that someone tried to break into his garage on the 1300 block of Wall Street. He said he found damage to the door.
11:16 a.m.: A caller reported receiving calls from someone claiming to be from the IRS on the 2900 block of North Tracy Boulevard. She said the caller had been demanding money, and although she sent some money, they wanted more. The amount she paid was not disclosed.
