Police were called to assist Lifecomm at Emeritus at Heritage Place, a senior living facility at 355 W. Grant Line Road, for a reported assault on one resident by a second, at 12:39 a.m., Saturday, June 9. According to Heritage Place staff a combative female resident was being attended to by staff when the second resident attacked the victim.

Lifecomm had arrived before police to treat a laceration to the hand of a person involved in the assault. Staff then told police that they weren’t needed because the patient suffered from dementia and the request was canceled at 12:47 a.m. However, police responded to the home at 1:02 a.m., to take a report of the battery, per the request of Heritage Place staff. The police log notes that “one resident hit another resident.” A reported from police is expected to be filed.

Tracy police received 418 calls for service from Friday, June 8 to Sunday, June 10. The following is a sampling of those calls.

Sunday:



12:20 a.m.: Police were unable to locate a man who was allegedly looking in vehicles with a flashlight in the area of Lincoln Boulevard and Suellen Drive.

1:18 a.m.: Two men were arrested following a verbal altercation with a bartender at Ralph’s Club, 444 E. 11th St.

6:28 a.m.: Police issued a warning to a man who allegedly punched a McDonald’s employee when he was refused service. The manager at McDonald’s, 1820 W. 11th St., also issued a warning to the man to not return.

8:37 a.m.: A 1993 red Ford Escort was allegedly stolen overnight from a residence on the 900 block of Suellen Drive.

12:22 p.m.: Screens were removed from several windows of a residence on the 500 block of Carol Louise Lane. No entry was made into the home. The homeowner believes the screens were removed during an attempted burglary.

3:28 p.m.: Police cited a man for breaking down trees in the area of Schulte and Corral Hollow roads. It’s unclear what kind of citation was issued by police.

7:26 p.m.: At least six minors were reportedly seen smashing glass and light bulbs in the street on the 1700 block of Cherry Blossom Drive. Police cleared the scene.



10:00 p.m.: Fireworks were reportedly being set off in the area of Mamie Anderson and Solomon lanes. Police were unable to locate upon arrival.

Saturday:

12:29 a.m.: Three minors seen entering Zanussi Park, 1500 Promenade Circle, with spray paint cans were issued a warning by police to leave the park.

11:24 a.m.: Police are investigating a purse snatching in front of Home Dept, 2461 Naglee Road. The victim said a man, either black or Latino, grabbed her purse and then fled in a white van toward the north end of the parking lot. Police notified the California Highway Patrol of the vehicle description.

12:50 p.m.: Seven teenagers, ages 13 and 14, were issued trespassing warnings for entering the grounds of Williams Middle School, 1600 Tennis Lane.

1:36 p.m.: Two women were cited and released by police for allegedly stealing from the

Save Mart at 1950 W. 11th St. The merchandise is reportedly valued at $49.99.

2:45 p.m.: Police issued a warning to a man driving a white Ford Ranger in the area of Allegheny Street and Sycamore Parkway. Callers were concerned that the man was casing the neighborhood for future burglaries.

4:11 p.m.: Police cited and released a woman who was suspected of shoplifting from Save Mart, 1950 W. 11th St.

21:13 p.m.: A man allegedly smashed a video game machine and stole the change inside of it at the Shell gas station, 2375 W. Grant Line Road. The man was described by store employees as a white male, 6-foot, 150 pounds and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and dark sunglasses.

Friday:

12:08 a.m.: Police were unable to locate a man who was allegedly looking into vehicles with a flashlight in the area of Groveview Way and Promenade Circle.

12:51 a.m.: A 48 year-old man was cited and released by police on a $10,000 warrant from Napa County. Residents on the 500 block of Havenwood Court called police when the man was seen driving a white van slowly on the block. The man said he was dropping off a friend.

8:19 a.m.: A homeowner reported a damaged patio door on the 300 block of Garden Lane. The suspected burglars fled the home when the private security alarm sounded.

10:54 a.m.: Police issued a warning to a dog owner who was allegedly walking his pit bull without a leash in the area of Parker Avenue and Beverly Place. The log notes that the dog was on a leash when police arrived.

11:57 a.m.: A 1996 Honda Civic reported stolen to the Livermore Police Department was located and towed by the Tracy police at the Tracy Inn, 24 W. 11th St.

12:34 p.m.: Animal control removed a family of opossums from under the porch of a residence on the 800 block of Bryce Way.

12:41 p.m.: Police responded to a reported domestic dispute on the 1500 block of Locust Drive. The victim’s husband allegedly ripped off her shirt and pulled the phone line out of the wall. The Victim called police on her cellphone.

2:38 p.m.: A 36-year-old man was arrested at West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road, for an outstanding warrant with the Stockton Police Department.

5:58 p.m.: Two people attempting to move out of a residence on the 200 block of West 11th Street found a woman sleeping inside when they arrived to collect their belongings. The backdoor was reportedly found open. The woman quickly left the residence and was gone when police arrived.

9:05 p.m.: Police cited a released a man who allegedly stole a bottle of vodka from Save Mart, 2005 N. Tracy Blvd. The liquor is valued at $10.98.

10:53 p.m.: Extra police patrols were sent to the Tracy Transit Center, 50 E. Sixth St., where a group of high school-aged people were seen congregating.
