Gracie, a playful, well-mannered dachshund-Chihuahua mix, is one of several older dogs and cats available at special “Seniority Sweetheart” adoption rates this February from Animal Rescue of Tracy. She is 8 to 10 years old and weighs about 18 pounds. Volunteers say Gracie is loving and agreeable and runs around like a puppy. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit group with an adoption center for dogs and cats in the West Valley Mall near Macy’s, 3200 Naglee Road, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.

East of Eden volunteers say Sampson, an 8-month-old male kitten, is loving and playful. Tessa, a 3-month-old female kitten, is also available for adoption. Both will be at Petco, 2888 W. Grant Line Road, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Sampson’s adoption fee is $75. Tessa’s adoption fee is $100. East of Eden is a nonprofit animal rescue organization.
