Spade, a lively 3-month-old male pit bull mix, is at the Tracy Animal Shelter and needs a home. These 3.5-month-old puppies — abandoned at a shelter two weeks after they were born — are now old enough to be adopted into forever homes. Rescue volunteers think they are dachshund-terrier mixes, likely to be 15 to 20 pounds as adults. For information, call East of Eden at 679-7196 or email clowngrl@hotmail.com. East of Eden is a nonprofit animal rescue organization. Its volunteers are at Petco, 2888 Grant Line Road, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays. For information, call 815-5186 or view cats’ and dogs’ profiles at www.eoerescue.org.

Taco — a neutered terrier, Chihuahua and corgi mix — is about a year old and weighs about 20 pounds. Rescue volunteers say he is a friendly, submissive dog who likes to be around people and play with other dogs. He is housetrained and micro-chipped. Animal Rescue of Tracy has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays in the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. They show cats and kittens from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at PetSmart, 477 Naglee Road, and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Petco, 2888 W. Grant Line Road.
