EDITOR,

Regarding the Town Crier story about the ban on plastic bags (“Beat plastic bag ban,” June 8 Tracy Press), why not just go back to paper bags? That used to be the only option, even in the produce department.

I shop at Save Mart and always choose paper. They can be used again, and they are recyclable. You can fit more items in paper bags, the groceries don’t spill out all over your trunk, and they have handles. Sometimes the “old school” really was better.
