Born April 24, 1929, in Fort Towson, Okla., she was raised during the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. She moved to California in 1947 and worked at Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Oakland.
She lived in Tracy for several years in the mid-2000s.
Survivors include four children, Pete Murchison of Fremont, Merle Vind of San Leandro, Mary Powers of Portola and Donald Murchison of Tracy; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, John Murchison, preceded her in death in 1967.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, Pete and Hazel Davis, and nine siblings.
Burial was in Golden Gate National Cemetery, alongside her husband. Arrangements were handled by Jess C. Spencer Mortuary & Crematory in Castro Valley.
