Born Sept. 10, 1912, in Duluth, Minn., to Polish immigrants, Ms. Kash attended beautician school in Duluth after graduating from high school. She worked 18 years as a hairdresser in New York and Los Angeles, 10 years with a family that helped missionaries in India and 10 years as a home health-care nurse.
Ms. Kash moved to Tracy in 1987 to join her younger sister. She became a member of the First Baptist Church and the church’s Women’s Missionary Fellowship.
She sailed to Europe in 1950 with her sister on a Youth for Christ cruise; cruised through the Panama Canal; and traveled to Hawaii in her 90s, jet-skiing at age 92.
She is survived by two nephews, Stephen Wampler, and his wife, Betty, of Tracy, and David Wampler, and his wife, Pam, of Manteca.
Preceding her in death were her sister, Freda Wampler; and parents, Edward and Tillie Kashinski.
The memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Sept. 15 at the First Baptist Church, 1935 Holly Drive.
