John E. Thompson, a lifelong Tracy resident, died Friday, June 28, in Stockton at the age of 95. Services will be private.

Mr. Thompson was born Sept. 14, 1917. He was a veteran of World War II and owned G.E. Thompson & Son Dodge with his father.

Survivors include his companion, Pauline Consoli of Manteca; three sons, Dennis Thompson, and his wife, Marilyn, Gary Thompson, and his wife, Kathy, and Steve Thompson, and his wife, Judy, all of Stockton; a sister, Nadine McPherson of Stockton; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 61 years, Margaret O. Thompson; and a sister, Eleanor Eagan.

Burial will be in Tracy Cemetery, 501 W. Schulte Road. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., is handling arrangements, and an online guest book can be viewed at www.frymemorialchapel.com.
