Services will be Thursday, Aug. 1, for Jerry D. Hetrick, 66, a retired carpenter who had lived in Tracy for 27 years.

He died Monday, July 22, in Tracy.

A native of Concord, Mr. Hetrick was born June 4, 1947. He worked 30 years as a carpenter for Dame Construction and retired in 1995. In retirement, he worked in home health, emergency medicine and hospice.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Alison Hetrick of Tracy; a daughter, Shari McVicker, and her husband, Michael, of Tracy; three siblings, George Robert Hetrick Jr., and his wife, Phyllis, of Galt, James Luther Hetrick, and his wife, Pat, of Stockton and Virginia Thiessen, and her husband, Levi, of Dallas, Ore.; and two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were a son, Jerry David Hetrick Jr.; and five siblings, Lorene Green, Helen Vanerwegen, Mary Lee Titus, Jack Hetrick and John Hetrick.

A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, in the chapel at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions in Mr. Hetrick’s name to Alzheimer-Dementia Support Center of Modesto, 700 McHenry Ave., Ste. B, Modesto, CA 95350.
