Mr. Mah, a native of Canton, China, was born April 1, 1926. After the war, he worked at the local bowling alley and defense depot for 25 years and retired in 1991. In retirement, he opened a bar, Jack’s Place, on 11th Street.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Jean Mah of Tracy; a son, Earl Mah of Tracy; a daughter, Pamela Mah of Tracy; a brother, Yee Sun Ma of Tracy; and one granddaughter.
Preceding him in death were two sons, Jack Mah Jr. and Russell Mah; a brother, Yee Bin Ma; and his parents, Fu Shou Mah and Qian Shan Huang.
Graveside services with military honors will begin at noon Saturday at the Stockton Chinese Cemetery, West Mathews and South Manthey roads, in French Camp. Visitation will be observed from 10 to 11 that morning at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. An online guest book can be viewed and signed at www.frymemorialchapel.com.
