Richard Brown Jr., a 2007 West High School graduate, completed flight training in May at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, for the U.S. Air Force. He immediately began training in military intelligence (imagery analysis) at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas.

Brown is the son of Sherri and Richard Brown of Tracy.
