Helping OT: Fundraiser booth for lymphoma patient

Since her 2009 diagnosis of lymphoblastic lymphoma, Vanessa “Nessie” Obando has endured procedure after procedure.

The 5-year-old girl and her family will host a fundraiser booth at the Tracy Dry Bean Festival this weekend to help pay for the spinal taps, bone marrow aspirations, chemotherapy and transfusions used to battle the rare form of blood cancer.

Handmade crafts will be available for purchase at the booth, all made by Nessie’s family.
