Golf: Stroup shoots 93 at SJS Masters

Tracy High senior golfer Alec Stroup finished the 2012 season with a score of 93 on Monday, May 14, at the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters tournament, at The Reserve golf course in Stockton.

The top four at-large golfers, including those who scored 70 or better on the par-72 course on Monday, will advance to the NorCal tournament at Butte Creek Country Club in Chico on Monday, May 21.

There are also three teams heading to the regional tournament: Granite Bay, which won the section title with a score of 363, runner-up Christian Brothers (367) and third-place Del Oro (372).

Del Oro’s Austin Smotherman was the leading individual with a score of 65.
