The latest step toward that goal was a 245-261 win over Manteca on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Old River Golf Course in Tracy.
It puts the Jaguars in third place in the VOL behind East Union, defending VOL and SJS Division IV champion, and Sonora.
The top three teams after the VOL championship tournament, to be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Lockeford Springs Golf Course, will go to the 2012 Division IV tournament on on Oct. 22 at Elkhorn Golf Club in Stockton.
Kimball senior Lydia Nolen led her team on Tuesday with a score of 42 on the par-36 course at Old River.
Other scores for Kimball were Taylor Honnoll (43), Maya Crooms (46), Savannah Dunniway (51), Patricia Fabila (63) and Angela Peyton (75).
Lincoln 236, Tracy 272 Lincoln’s golfers (7-1 San Joaquin Athletic Association) outscored Tracy (4-4 SJAA) on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Brookside Country Club in Stockton.
Jennifer Kim was Tracy’s top golfer as she shot 42 on the par-36 course. Other scores for Tracy include Annie Fox (47), Shelby Devlin (53), Alee Balanon (60), Rachel Haro (70), and Amanda Vasquez (72).
Tokay 303, West 323
The Tokay Tigers beat West in Tri-City Athletic League play on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Woodbridge Golf and Country Club.
The top golfer for West (3-4 TCAL) was Ashley Gonzales, who shot 55 on the par-37 course. Also scoring for West were Bobbi Loggins (64), Vanessa Nunez (65), Ashley Aguilera (67), and Samantha McCain (72).
West 263, McNair 324
West recorded a win over McNair on Thursday, Sept. 27, at Old River Golf Course.
Ashley Gonzales led the West team with a 46 on the par 36 course. Ashley Aguilera shot, 48, Samantha McCain, 54, Vanessa Nunez, 56, and Bobbi Loggins, 59.
