Tracy High senior golfer Jennifer Kim finished her season 11 strokes short of qualifying for the California Interscholastic Federation NorCal championship.

Kim shot 85 on the par-72 course at The Reserve in Stockton on Monday, Oct. 29, in the Sac-Joaquin Section Master’s tournament. It put her in a seven-way tie for 26th place out of 109 golfers.

Only the top three teams from the section, and four more at-large golfers, qualify for the CIF Nor Cal championship tournament at Brookside Country Club in Stockton.

St. Francis of Sacramento, with a score of 415, emerged as the section champion. In second place was Lodi (419), and third was Pleasant Grove (425) of Elk Grove.

The individual section champion is Sara Scarlett of Woodland, who shot a 70. Three other golfers who scored 74 or lower also move on to the championship.
