Fireworks sales underway

Fireworks went on sale at noon Saturday at nine non-profit booths across Tracy. Fireworks can be sold and discharged for seven days before the Fourth of July holiday in Tracy city limits. Legal fireworks can be purchased from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the Fourth of July.

Fireworks can be set off between noon and 10 p.m. Saturday through Thursday and between noon and midnight on the Fourth.

All fireworks become illegal at midnight July 5.

The City Council must not have pets or they wouldn't have allowed fireworks to be set off for a week! Every night my dog is nervously pacing and panting from the fireworks going off near my home on Lincoln Blvd. It sounds more like a war zone than a celebration. Thank you City Council!
