Jennifer Nicole Rosenstock and Dominic Michael Hernandez, both Tracy High School alumni living in Ceres, are engaged to be married Aug. 24, 2012, in Brentwood.

Dominic proposed while overlooking the water Oct. 22, 2011, during a weekend trip to Monterey.

The couple met during high school before Dominic enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2002. He returned in April 2006 from four years’ service and one tour in Iraq, and he and Jennifer have been together since.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Guy and Susan Rosenstock of Tracy. She graduated from Tracy High School in 2004 and earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Chapman University in 2011. As a clinical assistant, she works one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism.

Jenny’s grandparents are Barry and Alicia Rosenstock of Sunnyvale and Julie Wolkoff of Tracy. Her siblings are Mike Olmos and Sean Rosenstock, both of Tracy, and Jaimee Rosenstock of Stevenson Ranch.

The groom-to-be, son of Pam and Ron Johnston of Modesto and Donald Hernandez of Tracy, graduated from Tracy High School in 2001. He works for the city of Turlock.

Dominic is the brother of Sumer Martin and Katie Hernandez, both of Tracy, and Donny Hernandez of Hughson. Grandmother Judy Kale lives in Sun City, Ariz.
