Tracy residents Angie Bazzano and Garrett Stroup are engaged to marry Oct. 13, 2012, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the Stroup family barn.

Garrett proposed to Angie on the beach at sunset March 20, 2012, at Seascape Beach Resort in Aptos.

The bride-to-be, a self-employed hair stylist at Peaches & Cream Salon & Day Spa, is the daughter of John and Laurie Bazzano of Tracy. She graduated from Tracy High School in 2000 and earned her cosmetologist license from California Beauty College in 2001. Angie is the sister of Kelli Gomez of Livermore, Tony Bazzano of Yuba City, Mike Bazzano of Kaysville, Utah, and Nicci Bazzano of Stockton. Her late grandparents were Nicolo and Doris Bazzano of Oakland and Ray and Bernie Francisco of Angels Camp.

The groom-to-be, son of Craig and Kim Stroup of Tracy, works as a civil engineer for Cal Fire. He graduated with Tracy High’s Class of 2002 and earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State University, Fresno, in 2008. His siblings, Vince Stroup, Stephen Stroup and Jill Stroup, all live in Tracy. Garrett is the grandson of Opal and the late Lloyd Stroup and Don and Shirley Yerian, all of Tracy.
