Services were this week for Edith Gertrude Boyle, 89, a Tracy resident of 64 years, who died Sunday, Jan. 13, at Tracy Convalescent & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Boyle was born Jan. 24, 1923, in Kiowa, Kan., and worked 10 years in distribution at the Tracy Press. She was a member of Tracy Church of the Nazarene and volunteered at Lolly Hansen Senior Center.

Survivors include three sons, Lloyd Boyle of Reno, Harold Boyle of Tracy and David Boyle, and his wife, Toni, of Reno; a brother, Carl Eckert, and his wife, Juanita, of Kiowa; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 38 years, Edwin Boyle; parents, Seigfried and Hattie Eckert; and six siblings, twins Alvin and Albert Eckert, Leon Eckert, Loyol Eckert, Maxine Lindstrom and Elizabeth Kennedy.

Graveside services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 17, at Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., handled arrangements.
