A former Tracy resident and H.J. Heinz Co. retiree, Dorothy Bell Adams, 98, died March 30, 2013, in Manteca. Services will be private.

Born Sept. 28, 1914, in Glenwood, Ark., Ms. Adams moved to California in 1939 and lived in Tracy for many years. She worked 30 years at the Heinz factory before retiring in 1975 and moving to Manteca.

Survivors include two daughters, Hazel Laverne Whisman, and her husband, John, of Pryor, Okla., and Dorothy Ann Dickerson, and her husband, Bill, of Manteca; a daughter-in-law, Pauline Adams of Manteca; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Bunda and Eliza Linville; a son, Clarence Edward Adams; a grandson; and four siblings, Narry Dillard, Deb Linville, Hazel Thomas and Jesse Linville.

Private graveside services are planned in Farmington Memorial Cemetery, 5255 Escalon Bellota Road, in Farmington.
