• Raymond G. Stroh died Sept. 10 in Tracy. He was 85. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, Sept. 15, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 127 W. Jackson St., in Sonora. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions in Mr. Stroh’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

• John Milton Snider Jr., 73, a U.S. Navy veteran and tax accountant, died Sept. 1 in Tracy, his home of four months. Graveside services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, in Dixon. A celebration of Mr. Snider's life is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 5825 Bollinger Road, in Cupertino, and an online guest book can be viewed at www.frymemorialchapel.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Snider’s name may be sent to the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association or Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 5825 Bollinger Road, Cupertino, CA 95014.
