• Rufus H. Hall, a longtime Tracy resident and H.J. Heinz Co. retiree, died Saturday, Oct. 13. All services will be private.

• Charles Johnson Sr., 92, a World War II veteran and longtime Tracy resident who helped found Tracy Interfaith Ministries, died Friday, Oct. 12, at his home. A service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Good News Missionary Baptist Church, 77 W. First St. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Golden Gate National Cemetery, 1300 Sneath Lane, in San Bruno. • Laura Holck McCutcheon, 100, died Monday, Oct. 15, at her Tracy home. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Oct. 30 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1635 Chester Drive, and inurnment will be private in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements.

• David Charles Payne, 72, a former Tracy Press and San Jose Mercury News reporter, died Monday, Oct. 15, at his home in Bluffton, S.C. Services will be Tuesday, Oct. 23, in South Carolina. The family prefers memorial contributions to the Grace Coastal Church building fund, 15 Williams Drive, Okatie, SC 29909.

• Carmen H. Saldivar, a longtime Tracy resident, died at her home Tuesday, Oct. 16, after a long illness. She was 85. A celebration of her life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave.
