Two dance teams from Triple Threat Performing Arts of Tracy brought back regional titles for their routines at the Show Stoppers Dance Competition, held Friday, March 30, to Sunday, April 1, at the San Mateo Events Center in San Mateo.

The weekend-long event brought 1,200 dance teams from around Northern California.

Triple Threat’s “Blowin’ Up” team, competing in the Jazz Junior Small Group, age 9-11 performance division, won first-place overall out of 10 teams and was one of three team to gain the platinum rating. Team members include Jewelleanna Ellsworth, Dexter Ellsworth, Gabrielle Fermin, Marissa Peinado, Angelleanna Ellsworth, Julia Bent, Isabella Aguilar, and Cassandra York.

Triple Threat’s “Drizzy” team, a large teen group, won first-place overall out of three teams in the age 12-14 performance division, gaining a gold rating. Team members include Elizabeth Melgoza, Isabella Aguilar, Julia Bent, Gabrielle Fermin, Haley Fry, Dexter Ellsworth, Owen Opperman, Kaylee Tota, Brittany Cuevas, and Marinna Contreras.
