California Highway Patrol officer Hector Davila said the accident that happened at about 11 a.m. A Honda Civic coupe traveling east on I-205 east of the 11th Street exit hit the back of a tractor trailer rig in the right lane of the three lane freeway. Witnesses told the CHP the driver of the Civic then lost control of the car, swerving into the middle lane and crashing into a Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. The car and the motorcycle then crossed the left lane and crashed into the median. The motorcycle rider, described a middle-aged male, was found unconscious on the shoulder of the freeway while the Civic spun through the grass in the median, striking the guardrail and coming to rest facing west in the east bound side of the freeway.
