Boy Scouts from Troop 515 are beginning their annual Christmas swag sale to raise funds that will be used throughout 2014 for camping and backpacking events, equipment and merit badges.

Scout leaders and parents make evergreen swags in donated warehouse space using greenery and pinecones collected by the scouts. The scouts then sell the swags over a three-week period, both door to door and from the Christmas tree stand in the Grocery Outlet parking lot, 825 W. 11th St.

There will also be an all-day sale on Dec. 7 in the parking lot of Valley Community Baptist Church, 903 S. Corral Hollow Road, the charter organization for Troop 515. On that date, 10 percent of all sales will be given to the Tracy Food Pantry, which supplies groceries to the hungry each week.

Price for a large swag is $20.
