Elected officials and candidates for public office were among the guests at Tracy Republican Women Federated’s fifth annual Spring Tea on April 21 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church social hall.

Rep. Jeff Denham, Supervisor Leroy Ornellas, Mayor Brent Ives and councilmen Bob Elliott and Mike Maciel addressed the group, which club members described as the largest in the tea’s five years.

Other speakers were Garry Duncan, chairman of the Republican Party of San Joaquin; Dolores Cooper, candidate for Assembly District 13; and Nancy Young, Tracy City Council candidate.

Alma Morley, the local club’s president, welcomed the group and said she was pleased by the turnout.

Among the attendees, who had traveled from as far as Fresno, was Carol Hadley, president of California Republican Women Federated.
