Kiwanis cleanup

Kiwanis members clean up downtown

Several members of the Tracy Kiwanis Club spent a few hours on Saturday morning doing some spring cleaning in downtown Tracy.

Kiwanis members removed tape from light poles on 10th Street between A Street and Central Avenue and tidied streets and flower beds near the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts.

VFW auxiliary thanks veteran

A local veteran, Al Moreno, received thanks from members of the Tracy Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1537 Ladies Auxiliary during a VFW meeting April 9.

The auxiliary thanked Moreno for his service and gave him a $20 Wal-Mart gift card.

Shelter manager to address Tracy Woman’s Club

Members of Tracy Woman’s Club will hear about the Tracy Animal Shelter from shelter manager Ben Miller during a May 2 meeting.

The club will gather at 11 a.m. that day at the Tracy Elks Lodge, 6400 W. 11th St. Lunch costs $15, and reservations are required. Newcomers are welcome.
